“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem or determined to carry out their dream.” – Les Brown
Yes, you may now realize the reality after reading this. We people have the urge to leave the work for tomorrow. But no! If we continue to let this happen, we cannot turn our dreams into reality. We may end up procrastinating into nothingness. We need to share our ideas, open up and become a part of this social network. Truly, the graveyard is the richest place on earth as many dead people lie there with unfulfilled dreams, hopes and desires.
There are various things in life which we really regret about. Example maybe any sort of mistake made in front of large crowd or making wrong choices at the wrong time etc. you might be aware of the quote “Experience matters” and it surely does. Each and every type of experience in our lives is a lesson for us. Here is a list of few things/choices you may regret in your future:-
1. BAD COMPANY-
As it had been told to us since our childhood that if placed a rotten apple in a bunch of fresh and healthy apples, then, because of that single bad apple, all apples will go bad. Similarly, if we make a wrong decision while choosing our friends, we will also turn bad and rotten just like the other apples. You need to make sure you go with positive people and not the negative people. As only positive people will lead you to the correct path and treat you with compassion, whereas, negative people will always try to spoil your character in every possible way.
2. LETTING GO OF OPPORTUNITIES-
Speak Out! Fight! If you want to achieve success in life you need to stand up for your rights and also welcome the opportunity which knocks at your door with open hands. “Opportunity never knocks twice” and if it does, it’s once in a blue moon. So if you let go of the opportunity at hand you are doing the wrong thing. You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow. You need to prepare yourself, to buck up and tighten your laces. Remember, it’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not! If you are scared as hell, and you are not trying, then how will you grab the opportunity? There is one more thing to keep in mind that, no matter how much you practice, you’ll never be totally prepared. We never know what may happen next. No doubts and fears should drag us down. We need to brace our confidence and polish our skills so that next time we can step ahead and apart from the crowd.
3. NOT LISTENING TO YOUR HEART-
Yes, your heart is always correct! Well, at times but yeah you have to work with your mind also simultaneously. Sometime in future, you may realize that what your heart was urging you to do was right and that you did a huge mistake by listening to your mind. Your heart always makes those decisions which you really want to do. Living your life according to your heart is always more important than living according to your mind. Your mind may come up with some plethora of logical ideas which may seem to have weight in them and which may advise you on how to act in a situation, but if you listen to your heart, be it with stupid and illogical reasoning, it is usually right and as a result of it, you get inner happiness and peace.
4. LETTING STRESS CONQUER YOUR EMPIRE-
Stress! Frustration! Depression! Every individual suffers it. But what if this stress becomes the boss of your mind, body, heart and soul? Definitely a big NO NO! You can’t let stress overcome you as this may ruin your inner peace. We stress on various issues like- studies, money, future etc etc. Minor stress is acceptable to some extent, but if it turns into major than steps need to be taken. As stress can ruin your future plans and it can change your life completely; the way you think, talk and behave. Stress can’t be eradicated, but it can be reduced. Your future depends on what you do right now. So working under stress is not a good idea. Better LET IT GO.
5. GIVING UP-
Perseverance is the answer! You need to keep on going to pursue your dreams. Giving up is the worst thing which you’ll do and regret this later on. No matter how harsh the situation is, you must have the determination of going on. You must not settle for less than what you deserve. You will surely get what you’re worth in this life. The point is to gear up and prove yourself that you are worthy of all those things you dream of and that you won’t lose the game.
6. NOT EXPRESSING YOUR LOVE-
Many of us are bashful. We feel shy to express our love and concern for others. You don’t have to bury your feelings within yourself. Be open and let your emotions fly out. Doing this will help you to get closer to the people who are important for you, specially our parents and best friends. We should constantly remind them of how much we love them and need them as this will intensify your connectivity with them. In fact, even you yourself will feel the positive vibes around you and the people you love.
I would like to mention a line I had read-
“To look even deeper into how you are living your life, take a look at what people on their deathbed say they regret the most in their lives.”
