A recent study by WWF tells us that over population had a major havoc on planet earth. There are just too many people for our MOTHER EARTH to carry and take care .The study also states that over population is the main cause in the reduction of biodiversity, pollution, natural resources, and food. At the current rate of consumption, we are consuming more than 50% of the food our MOTHER can give us. The population increase and because of that the over consumption is a threat to our MOTHER and so we are on a suicide mission to destroy our MOTHER. Human population has been increasing a lot and the maximum has been in the last 50 years. Our mother will be able to carry about 4 billion and 16 billion children. The rapid increase in human population is causing some concern because of the overweight given to our MOTHER. The population is expected to reach between 7 and 10 billion between the years 2050.
2020 7.7 (estimate)
Where the maximum birth will be in the under developed countries, now the population of underdeveloped countries is 5.3 billion and is expected to increase to 7.8 billion in 2050.While the population of the developed regions will remain the same at 1.5 billion. In the year 2000–2005, the fertility rate was 2.5 per women and it was about half that in 1950’s. During 2005–2050, some countries are said to have increase in population and they are: India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Uganda, United States, Ethiopia, and China, and they are listed in the order of growth. The life expectancy is said to rise from 65 to 75 within 2030.While in developed countries the expectancy is 82-85 years. Among the under developed countries, the expectancy is below 50 and is said to increase to about 60-65 within 2050. The population of many countries is said to become lower in 2050 than that of 2005.Many people are said to move to new places and the amount will be about 98 billion. Because the death will be more than the birth rate and the death rate will be 78 billion and the population will be more because of migration. The birth rate in developed countries is coming down and the death rate is also in control but the population growth is not declining due to immigration. Now when we look at the countries who have some love and is willing to protect our MOTHER i.e. with largest ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT are QATAR, UAE, BAHRAIN, UNITED STATES, DENMARK and these were brought to our knowledge by WWF
The survey taken on loss of bio diversity now is 30% more than that the survey results taken in 1970,s.We are taking things as granted , and we a carrying on as if we have another MOTHER to live in. As we see the standards of living starting to drop over the next 30 to 50 years, we may be forced into birth control .We say having children is our right but we forget that we are killing our MOTHER in order to gain our right, We can have success in our right only if we make OUR EARTH a better place to live in by having clean environment, fresh air , fresh food OVER CHILDREN AS RIGHT.
The causes of this can be when the birth rate becomes more than the death rate in some period of time. For example, when death rates was declining in 19th and 20th century .as a result of improved medication, child immunizations, and advanced technologies in medicine allowing many small children to survive, the fertility rate also did not come down and as a result the population kept on increasing. Even with these changes 7 out of 10 children died because of some disease even before they reached reproductive stage, while now 95% of children reach adulthood. Human psychology and poverty, as well as the rest of the world’s reaction to it are also the factors. Areas which are prone to disease and wars do not have less number of birth rate. They also have more rates and they too contribute to the population increase. And the cause of this was because, the parents were afraid that they would lose their children and so the idea of having more babies flirted between them. For example, the AIDS have killed 50 million up to date in Africa, even then money and other initiatives are taken to save them and to feed them. In 1990, Africa’s population was 600 million; now it is about 1,050 million, 150 million more than even if AIDS had not attacked them. So consider our MOTHER over everything, because she is our savoir and she is the one who will be able to feed us, protect us and she can become the one who can change human beings into ferocious species who will hunt for food
